METRO CRIME STATISTICS
WEB SITE The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) crime mapping program, which can be found at http://www.lvmpd.com/crimeviewcommunity/, provides public access to crime information for LVMPD's jurisdiction only. This site allows you to view crime data by choosing basic crime types in proximity to an address, intersection, school, or other geographic points and areas of interest for a period of one to 60 days. You can print summary reports and maps using this data. The program is under development and may not be available at all times in the near future. The mapping database contains 60 days of information. This crime data is preliminary information given to the LVMPD by the public and has not been verified. Future investigation and analysis may change crime classification and other information. Accurate statistical crime information for comparison over periods of time is best obtained using the verified periodic Uniform Crime Reports located on other pages of the Web site. |
